In positioning Zion to expand its territory, financial challenges have occurred. Expanding territory for Zion meant the purchase of two properties located at 90-92 Greenfield Avenue. One of the properties will be used for meeting space, tutoring children and preparation for ministry outreach. The other property is presently being used as rental property.
In considering how Zion would move forward, it was determined that a capital campaign would benefit the expansion efforts of Kingdom building at Zion. Through our faith in God, we endeavor to raise a minimum of $1,000,000 dollars over a three-year period. Accomplishing this goal would complete Phase I of Zion’s mission.
PHASE I - The purchase and renovation of the two properties leaves Zion with a mortgage of more than $700,000. It is the goal of the membership to retire this debt within the next three years. Additionally, the goal of this campaign is to provide resources to renovate our facilities in order to continue Zion’s religious and mission work as well as its outreach to the community.
PHASE II - The physical edifice of the original building is in desperate need of renovation. It is envisioned that as part of Phase II, the entire Chapel will be transformed into the Leonard M. Jones Educational Annex. The kitchen has been idle for more than three years now and poses challenges when it comes to preparing food for the various functions that are hosted by Zion. Our goal is to renovate the kitchen and make it fully functional again.
